Until Easter the employees of WESSLING have set themselves the task of doing without plastic waste with even more awareness than usual. The excitement was great right at the start, with tips and short reports on experiences, and the topic of abstention has turned into an exciting exchange. What are the items that are particularly hard to do without and which ones are easy? How does abstention sharpen the awareness of plastic waste? Have there been any surprise effects?

We will report regularly on the campaign at our international locations, here on our website and also through our social media channels. This is how we want to carry the momentum from the inside of our company to the outside, share valuable tips and motivate people to do without plastic wherever possible. We think even with small changes, each individual can achieve a great deal, such as dispensing with plastic bags and unnecessary packaging or switching from cars to bicycles to avoid tire abrasion.
The campaign is also supported by the broad wealth of experience of our microplastics experts, who are investigating the topic of plastics in the environment in various research projects. WESSLING is one of the few laboratories for micro- and nanoanalysis in Europe and possesses comprehensive expertise in these fields.
The campaign is entirely dedicated to the sustainable corporate strategy of WESSLING. We actively practise sustainability, and together with our employees and business partners we work continuously on the implementation of ecological, social and societal sustainability aspects. With the declaration of compliance with the German Sustainability Code (DNK), we also make our sustainability performance transparent.
